Global Financial Crisis and the Ordinary People

The financial crisis which is now being experienced by many nations has caused much disaster in each economy. The escalating spread of social tension, poverty, hunger, and unemployment is so alarming that even ordinary people have already been affected. The harsh effects of this crisis can be reduced, but no one can escape the predicament completely.

People are now cutting down on their expenses because of the fear that they might lose their jobs. On the other hand, there are many people who are still not aware of how this global financial crisis will affect their lives. Some experts share their knowledge regarding this concern especially regarding ordinary citizens. Anette Cain-Darnes predicted that ordinary people will experience tougher times in the upcoming years. She then warned people to be cautious with their expenses. This is further complimented with the reality that whatever solution the government has for this crisis, banks will continue to tighten their processes especially when lending their money. In this case, less qualified borrowers will certainly not avail themselves of credit from the banks. If they happen to borrow money, their setback will be on the fees imposed by the bank which will have stricter regulations than usual times.

The global financial crisis has destabilised the political legitimacy of several officials who are now putting the blame on the shoulders of the ordinary people, who are actually the victim of this crisis. All must bear in mind that regardless of position, influence, and possessions, all people share the responsibility for the persistence of the results of this damaging crisis.
